Hi! We’re new here :)

Welcome! We are so excited you are here. My name is Katie and I am lucky enough to be married to a pretty cool guy named Kraig who was happy enough to join me in this endeavor of creating a blog for readers like you who are interested in all things involving faith, family, food, and building furniture.
Kraig is a fireman every third day but wears many other hats as well. He is a realtor on his “off days” where he is currently working a new neighborhood being built. He is a very busy guy but still manages to be a rockstar dad to our 2 kids and is co-manager of our home that I like to think is less chaotic than it likely is. He has been blessed with a passion for wood-working and has made some amazing pieces of furniture. He graciously listens to my rough idea of what I want and somehow, magically appears with exactly what I had in mind.
I am a nurse. I have been a nurse for nearly 15 years with the majority of my career in the ICU as a bedside RN. I was a manager of a 16 bed ICU during the height of covid- often times managing the unit and also working bedside 12 hour shifts as needed to fill the (many) holes in staffing. I was on the first rapid response team in my hospital. I loved the intensity of ICU level of nursing, the excitement and adrenaline rush of the rapid response team, and the responsibility and commitment during my manager stent. All jobs have placed challenges in my path that I have had to overcome and I just feel really blessed that God has given me each and every opportunity. Every door closed, He has opened a new one with excitement, learning, and friendships gained. After a door was closed on the management job, I got a new job in recovery at an outpatient surgery center and have really enjoyed this adventure thus far- especially the lack of stress and time-commitment.
Kraig and I have 2 kids, Emma (11) and Reid (8). We love to have fun with them and want to make as many wonderful memories with them as possible. We have a camper which we wish we could use MUCH more often than we do, but life gets in the way of that! Both our kids are involved in sports- Emma is a runner and does cross country and track and Reid loves baseball currently but he is interested in everything competitive.
We love our Lord, Jesus Christ and have devoted ourselves to following his direction in our lives. We hope that we can bless your lives in some way through here!
